Checking your Indian train PNR status is quick and easy. Here’s how you can do it:

1. Visit the Official Website

2. Enter Your PNR Number

  • Find the 10-digit PNR number on your train ticket (located at the top left corner).
  • Enter the PNR number in the designated field and click on “Check Status.”

3. View Your PNR Status

  • Your PNR status will be displayed, showing whether your ticket is confirmed, on the waiting list, or RAC (Reservation Against Cancellation).
  • You’ll also see details like your train number, coach, seat number, and journey date.

Booking train tickets is simple and convenient. Follow these steps to secure your seat:

1. Create an IRCTC Account

  • Visit the official IRCTC website (www.irctc.co.in).
  • Click on “Register” and fill in your details to create an account.
  • Verify your email and mobile number to complete the registration process.

2. Log in to Your Account

  • Once your account is set up, log in using your username and password.

3. Search for Trains

  • Enter your departure and destination stations, travel date, and class preference.
  • Click on “Find Trains” to see available options.

4. Choose Your Train

  • Browse through the list of trains, check availability, and select the train that suits your schedule.
  • You can also view train details like departure time, arrival time, and travel duration.

5. Select Your Seat

  • Choose your preferred class (e.g., Sleeper, AC, First Class) and check for seat availability.
  • You can also select a specific seat if available.

6. Enter Passenger Details

  • Fill in the required information for all passengers, including name, age, and ID details.
  • For senior citizens, don’t forget to check the option for a concession.

7. Make Payment

  • Choose your payment method (credit/debit card, net banking, UPI, or wallet) and complete the transaction.
  • After successful payment, you’ll receive a booking confirmation and an e-ticket via email and SMS.

8. Download or Print Your Ticket

  • You can download your e-ticket from your IRCTC account or print it for your records.
  • Alternatively, you can travel with the SMS confirmation as proof of your booking.
